Sugar Cayne
This past weekend was the Wizard World New York Experience and Philly based Illustrator and comic book creator Shawn Alleyne had an exclusive illustration of his popular character Aizan for sale. I believe this is the first illustration poster that reveals the identity of Aizan and it came out dope. The colors were done by Rini Clarke. Below is Shawn’s inspiration for making this illustration:
A few weeks ago at the Philly Wizard con a young black lady told me she loved my Aizan concept, loved the poster, but wanted to see her face. She said she didn’t know of enough black female superheroes. I’m proud to have Aizan aka Hela St. August, not only rep strong black woman, but women in general. Plus, she’s Barbadian- can’t forget my Caribbean roots.
