The creative folks at Nike linked up with The Basement (BSMNT) for a collabo on a pair of Dunk Lows. The kicks are designed by 18-year old member of the collective Daniel Pacitti. He combined different materials in the sneakers to represent the diversity in the world.
Pacitti says “When designing the shoe, we made each panel a different material to represent the diversity within our community. When they come together, they form something more beautiful and more powerful.”
Some of the materials used were canvas, corduroy and leather. The colorway was dark tones of black and a dark blue with a gum outsole.
The only way your gonna get your feet in a pair of these is if you fly to and go to the pop-up event on July 29! This is a fundraising collaboration project so all of the proceeds made off these kicks are going towards the Youth Futures organization.
London’s Youth Futures organization provides mentor ship programs for local youth and aims to encourage the growth of creativity and sharing stories throughout various outlets of expression.
That’s wassup!!
