42 y/o, Husband and father of 2, reliving my youth when my kids started riding bikes so I bought a Schwinn Predator Team 24 replica bike. I had an old Predator frame that I built up when I was 12/13 y/o with spare parts from friends. I got the frame set for trading a CD to a buddy of mine, the band "Bush". Frame was cracked so my father got it welded. Built up everything from the 1-piece crankset to the bars and brakes with random parts. Rode that bike to 6th, 7th and 8th grade all the time. Now at 42, saw a bigger tire Predator hi-ten steel bike on Amazon and started adding better parts to it. Then the mid-life crisis kicked in I guess, can't afford the corvette so bought a 26" race inc frame for real cheap on Planet BMX and built up a nice bike, just enjoyed the build and want to make a 29" now, but I think my wife is all set with 3 bikes, so these 2 will do for now. Enjoy just cruising the neighborhood with my kids.
I can’t get the retro Jordan 3’s & 4’s out of my noggin…… every high top or 3/4 top reminds me of them. I’m like , possessed by them somehow. It doesn’t make sense, I don’t even own a pair 🤦🏻♂️…….. wait a minute, that’s it……. I don’t have a pair and that’s why I keep seeing them everywhere and every time I look at any other sneakers. I need to GET THEM so that I can break the spell that incredibly rad looking sneakers have on me….. YES, that is the answer. Now……… I need to find out how to break this ridiculous spell my wife is under that that for some reason has her believing I don’t need another pair of sneakers , HMMMM!!!!!! Anyway, these are pretty dope and I like the retro vibe I’m getting from them. I’d actually like to see a re-release of an Airwalk model that was Seagram green and had grey brick patterned protective rubber on the sides. Not to mention the orange or yellow circular airwalk emblem that was really eye catching. They were oddly super rad looking.
